Brazilian Agribusiness

The agribusiness sector in Brazil is booming and attracting investment from around the world. Brazilian trade policies and programs in agriculture  have improved  greatly  over the past decade.

Due to the existence of significant trade barriers and subsidies in developed countries, Brazil has adopted a more aggressive position on agriculture at the World Trade Organization (WTO), bringing three high-profile dispute cases against developed countries and taking a leadership role in ongoing trade negotiations by    forming a coalition of developing countries known as the G-20  

End of Summer Cocktail & BBQ Networking Event

For the first time this year we held an end of summer networking opportunity to welcome back our members from their summer vacations, and to kick off our calendar of events planned for the remainder of 2011.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Dartmouth House the Chamber brought a taste of Brazil to the Capital, with live Brazilian MPB, caipirinhas and Brazilian ‘Salgadinhos’ on offer, as well as a full outdoor BBQ to accommodate 100 of our guests and members.
